The alcohol based ink workshops are typically an artistic inhalation. You arrive, choose a chair and you start mixing color within few minutes. There’s very little buildup. The goal is experience. This is tiring to some artists but it leads to the confidence which will be transferred to the out-of-classroom setting.
Motivation matters here. Nicer in case you would like to have a rest, spend good time on creative games, or have a refresh on a weekend, a workshop will be a better choice. It’s lighter. Lower pressure. You can move away satisfied and also feel like you have not left anything hanging. At some point, when you consider teaching, or managing a team of individuals, or being a spokesperson of your profession; a certification course begins to sound rational.
Another factor is feedback. Quick and informal advice is offered through workshops. One looks back, makes a recommendation, goes by. The certification programs are also improved. You are called to make decisions straight, patterns shift and even redo. It is not given everybody their attention, but one is shaken to their senses.
It is price and time investment based. Shorter and less expensive workshops. Certification programs take time and preparation and implementation. Of course, there is nothing better than the other. They play various seasons.
The selection is voluntary on whether to select an alcohol ink art workshop or certification course. One feeds curiosity. The other builds capability. Knowing what one needs at a particular moment saves the money as well as the energy and much of the second thought later on.
